Pre-IGCSE
The new Cambridge Pre-IGCSE program offers an excellent balance
between local and international education as students complete
elements of the local curriculum such as Social Studies, Arabic
and Religious education, while also studying Mathematics,
English and the Sciences in preparation for IGCSE.
The checkpoint curriculum of Grade 7 & 8 was designed to cover
core content necessary for study towards IGCSE, O-level
programs. Checkpoint scores are also useful predicators of
future IGCSE grades since these diagnostic reports enable the
school to:
- Tailor individual students’ learning programs
- Monitor group and individual performance
- Provide information for reporting to parents
- Compare the performance of all students
- Predict performance in students’ formal examinations.

At the end of Year 9, students obtain the equivalent of the
school leaving certificate and a Pre-IGCSE certificate. Students
can then choose whether to continue their studies or return to
join the national secondary educatio in case they no longer wish
to obtain a UK qualification.
