Promotion to the following academic year depends on success in
these examinations, the results being registered with the
Ministry of Education.
Languages:
The IGCSE offers language examinations in
Arabic 1st Language, English as a 2nd Language (ESL), for
students whose first language is not English but who are taught
in English, and French as a Foreign
Language.
Many universities in the United Kingdom will accept for
admission purposes ESL at extended level, but applicants should
confirm requirements with chosen universities.
